Why Oceania Northwest?
The Covid 19 pandemic illuminated the vast disparities experienced by Pacific Islanders in the past decades as a forgotten community neglected by systems of care and many other systems in the US. The plight of Pacific Islanders due to data invisibility and being omitted in federal equity funding have left our families fending for themselves without an eco-system of care and support.
Oceania Northwest’s network is committed to the care of our peoples through dedicated programs focused on healing & wellness as we continue to combat systemic erasure and racism and offer up meaningful solutions to create villages of care for all Oceanians in Snohomish, King & Pierce counties.
Our Mission
Oceania Northwest equips Pacific Islanders and other most impacted communities through leading community health initiatives, creating village healing spaces, and offering meaningful social and economic stabilization support.
Our Values
"Our Values" encapsulate our essence: UNITY binds us as one people, one soul, one destiny, while HOSPITALITY ensures all are embraced in our village's warm embrace. In our community, BELONGING is as vast as the ocean, RESPECT is the thread weaving our intergenerational nets, and HERITAGE guides us with ancestral wisdom as we journey forward.

Oceania Northwest acknowledges that we live and work on stolen Coast Salish land. We recognize the land stewardship of all Indigenous people since time immemorial and the disruption of this work by white colonization. We are aligned to efforts in supporting Indigenous sovereignty in the Pacific Northwest as we also fight for Indigenous sovereignty over our home, Oceania.
